TK being belligerant

“TIPPING”
INT. TUBBY’S PIZZA
Oscar and TK are at a booth. Their meal is finished.

OSCAR
Wanna get outta here?

TK
Wait. No. Wait, wait, wait. What are you DOING?

OSCAR
What?

TK
You got a tip in there?

OSCAR
I got…yeah. I added-why are you gettin’ all crazy?

TK
We haven’t coordinated.

OSCAR
Is this a new thing?

TK
I’m taking control of my resources. My tipping is now a carefully constructed formula, based on many factors. Shall we begin?

OSCAR
Can’t we just…

TK
First! Was the food of high or acceptable quality?

OSCAR
Yeah, I thought it wasn’t bad.

TK
Service?

OSCAR
Yeah. Y’know. It’s Harley. She’s…

TK
She’s terrible.

OSCAR
Well, yeah. But I mean…

TK
She does wear that uniform pretty well.

OSCAR
Yuh-huh. Mega-well.

TK
Service-wise, though, she’s weak. And the final category: Sincerity.

OSCAR
You need sincerity?

TK
Of course not. I mean, she’s making minimum wage and serving food to a bunch a’ greedy, self entitled turkeys. If your waitress ever showed you how she REALLY felt about you, you’d probably cry.

OSCAR
Okay.

TK
I want INSINCERITY. But the insincerity needs to be CONVINCING. Make me believe that you don’t completely despise me, y’know?

OSCAR
Hmm. Harley doesn’t do that.

TK
No. Her disgust is all over her face.
The guys get up from the booth and leave their cash.

OSCAR
Hmm. Well, I’m leaving the tip I want to leave. It’s within my means, and it shows my affection and appreciation.

TK
And I’m giving an overall score of four. And tipping accordingly.
The two head out the door, bickering.

OSCAR
Well, okay, then. As long as you’re happy.

TK (BELLIGERENTLY)
I AM happy.

OSCAR
Well, good.

TK
It IS good.

OSCAR
Alright, alright, take it easy…

The two exit. Harley approaches and looks down at the table.

HARLEY
Cheap sons of bitches.
END

TK script #1 “LUCKY”
INT MOVE PIT: Oscar and TK are behind the counter.

OSCAR
You know what occurs to me? We’re really lucky.

TK
Whyfore?

OSCAR
Well, we live in a modern world that offers unparalleled opportunity. With technology at our fingertips that our PARENTS never imagined, and a planet full of information at our disposal, there’s NOTHING we can’t do, no possibility out of the question!

TK
Huh.

OSCAR
What?

TK
Well, I don’t see you that way.

OSCAR
How come?

TK
Well, you strike me as a sad man. A man who is rapidly growing older and more hopeless. Sure, the modern world offers a multitude of possibilities for us all. But YOU? You will never take advantage of any of them. You’ll tend to your own short-term comfort, wasting the months and years away, and only realizing when it’s too late that you’ve wasted your life completely. You’ve lived an existence of quiet desperation and you let everything slip away. And in the end, there is no comfort for you. Only the bitter tears that flow from the regret of so many opportunities not taken.

Silence.

OSCAR
Am not.

TK script sample#2:
(The guys have just come back from a fortune teller who warned them to “beware the yellow eyes”)

OSCAR
Why do I keep going to her?

TK
Oh, she’s alright. I got her number…

OSCAR
Great. That was forty bucks well spent. “Beware the yellow eyes”? Come on. What’s that even mean? Ah, what a joke.

TK(staring out the window, stunned)
Dude.

OSCAR
What?

TK
Look.

TK points out the window. Outside, the two hobos are looking in their direction. They TURN AWAY when the guys look.
On one of their coats are graphics of YELLOW EYES.

TK and Oscar are looking out the window fearfully.

The hobos look at them and they jump away from the window.

OSCAR
The yellow eyes! The yellow eyes! Grave danger!

TK
What are we gonna do? We’re dead! Huhuhuhuhhh…

OSCAR
We have to stay calm. T. TK. Stop crying.

TK
Huuhhh…

OSCAR
TK…

TK
(sniff) HUUUUHHHUHUHUH!

OSCAR
TK!

TK (REGRETFULLY)
I never saw the second Exorcist movie.

OSCAR
TK, relax!

TK (CRYING)
I-I saw the first one like fifty times. The third one. Both prequels. I just…I just missed part two. I’m not sure why. We have it right over there… huhuhuhuh…(blows nose)

OSCAR
Get a hold of yourself. It’ll be okay. What are they doing now?
The guys peek out the window. The HOBOS are looking right at them. The guys zip away from the window again.

TK
I have too much to live for! Why, Lord? Why? Why?

OSCAR
TK. Listen.

TK
WHY?!

OSCAR
TK! I know what to do.

TK looks at him.

OSCAR (CONT’D)
We have to go out there. And confront them.

TK
I don’t know, man…

OSCAR
It’s broad daylight. What are they gonna do? Especially if we’re together. Okay?

TK
Okay. Let’s do it.

TK script sample #3(THE GUYS CONFRONT THE HOBOS)
EXT. MALL PARKING LOT.

OSCAR
You ready?

TK
Ready.

Oscar and TK march toward the hobos.

TK (CONT’D)
Good day, gentlemen. TK Winters. Oscar Strange. We’re detectives.

Oscar looks at him.

TK (CONT’D)
Ahem. We’re not actually detectives. I’m not sure why I said that.

OSCAR
Easy. Listen, uh, sirs. We know you’ve been watching us. What’s the deal?

HOBO 1
What? We ain’t watching you.

TK
You are so! We saw you!

HOBO 1
No. We’re watching them.
Hobo 1 points. Behind the movie pit, through a large window in the mall, there’s a store, with attractive female clerks.

TK
Huh. I never noticed that place.

It’s been quite a year. Some heavy stuff has happened.

I’ve been hard at work updating the episodes and finishing the latest installment, and I’m really looking forward to putting this stuff online. I’ve done lots of research into what to do with this series, and how to get the word out.
